Intern Data Engineering (m/f/x) in Praktikum

This internship position will give you the opportunity to get in touch with the data science platform at DECATHLON. Throughout this internship, you will be able to gain knowledge in AWS/GCP based data pipelining, data modelling & machine learning technologies. You will also apply your learnings to a production database aiming to improve the user experience in our stores and on our website/App.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• You support us in the area of data engineering in expanding data pipelines / ETL processes.

• You participate in data collection, processing and exploratory analysis.

• You combine data from internal and external sources and process it into an analytical data set.

• You support our team in the creation of data products that automate complex recurrent tasks.

• You will cooperate with different departments (Finance & Controlling, HR, E-Commerce, Transport, Analytics & Marketing Teams) to help them solve business problems by developing valuable data products.

YOUR PROFILE

• You are currently pursuing or have recently graduated from a Master / Bachelor's program in computer science, mathematics, statistics  or a comparable subject.

• You have a good knowledge of machine learning, statistics and probability theory.

• You have a strong knowledge of SQL an initial knowledge  in R or Python.

• You have strong problem-solving capabilities.

• You are fluent in English, German is a plus.
